Metal Reinforced Corner Tape How to use:

    1. Cut the flexible metal corner tape into strips using a knife. Make cuts at intervals depending on the desired radius. Apply a generous coat of joint compound, about 1/8" deep, to both sides of the corner simultaneously.
    2. Fold the metal tape at the center margin and firmly press it into the compound, ensuring that the metal side is facing the wall.
    3. Use a taping knife to remove any excess compound. Allow the first coat to dry, and then lightly sand it.
    4. Apply a finish coat, feathering the edges two inches beyond the first coat. If necessary, apply a second coat, 6"-10" wide, on each side of the corner.
    5. Once dry, lightly sand the area if needed. The galvanized steel strips on the metal corner tape provide reinforcement and ensure straight angles for both inside and outside corners.
